This manufacture was possible by using Cauvery Region mud/soft clay. This kind of soil is available ONLY in and around Swamimalai.
This is the Tallest Nataraja Idol in the World. This was manufactured in order to find a place in the Guinness World Records.

His Excellency Mr.K.M.Chandrasekhar, Ambassador (WTO-Geneva) is signing the Guest Book in the presence of Dr.Robert Aymar, Director General of CERN (2004-2008) and Dr.Anil Kakodhar, Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission and Secretary, Dept. of Atomic Energy, India. The Manufacturer, Mr.Varad Rajh and his brother Mr.Varun Kanth have installed the idol in the premises of CERN.
On 18 June, CERN unveiled an unusual new landmark, a 2m tall statue of the Indian deity Lord Shiva.
